CHAPTER
HISTORY
Over the past sixty years, the Germany Alumni Chapter, chartered on June 3, 1964 as the first outside the Continental United States, has promoted achievement through events like the Black and White Ball, hosting the first official Grand Polemarch visit outside the U.S., and contributing to the Northeastern Province's international prominence.
Journey Through Time
Community Engagement and Fundraising Efforts
Expanded Initiatives (2006)
The chapter began 2006 with its largest annual picnic turnout in years and donated $1,000 to the Grand Chapter's Hurricane Relief drive. This was one of their busiest years, featuring more social events and fundraisers than the previous six years, including participation in the Delta Fall Step Show and the US Army Garrison Heidelberg's Christmas Parade.
Christmas Social and Scholarships
The chapter expanded its Christmas Social to include members, families, friends, and supporters, while also hosting its first Christmas Raffle with grand prizes such as a Dell Laptop, $1,000, and a stay at Edelweiss Lodge. Additionally, the chapter held its first March Madness Bowling tournament, which raised enough funds to provide four $1,000 scholarships.
